How to Play

Select the number of questions and click "Start Game"

Multiplication questions will be shown one at a time

Type in the correct answer and click Enter before the timer runs out

Your score and time will be tracked (maybe you'll set a record!)

Try to beat your best time while maintaining accuracy

Game Rules

You cannot use a calculator

You have 6 seconds to answer each question

If you don't answer in time the game will automatically move to the next question

There's a 3 second break between each question (can be disabled in settings)

Note, if you select the 25 (MTC) option (for a full Multiplication Tables Check Simulation Test) then the game will apply exactly the same question logic as in the real test (for perfect practice)!

We also add a few extra features just for fun!

Your streak increases with each correct answer

Your streak resets to zero when you answer incorrectly

The game will show you which questions you got wrong at the end

If fast enough you may set a New Record but you'll need to achieve 95% or higher accuracy

Tips for Success

To improve your multiplication skills and achieve better times:

Start with fewer questions and gradually increase as you improve

Practice regularly for short periods rather than long sessions

Pay attention to the problems you get wrong and practice those specifically

Use a keyboard rather than a mobile phone or tablet - it's faster!

Use patterns to remember difficult multiplication facts

Try to beat your own best time rather than focusing on others' scores

About the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC)

The Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) is an online national assessment that tests children's multiplication tables from 1×2 to 12×12.

Children take their MTC in the final term of Year 4 (normally around the beginning of June). It's a very simple 25-question test that's used by schools to ensure children know their multiplication times tables.
